Agrimony is a perennial plant whose phytotherapeutic virtues have been known since Antiquity. Called by some "herb of St. William", "eupatory of the Greeks" or "tea of the North", this species belonging to the genus Agrimonia and to the large family of Rosaceae grows in Europe and Asia. It is found on the edges of forests, in wasteland or on the edges of paths and paths where it thrives easily, reaching up to 40 to 80 cm in height.
Agrimony is a plant that flowers in summer (June to September), when it is harvested. Composed of hairy and reddish stems, it is recognizable by its serrated leaves on which small yellow flowers develop formed of five petals grouped in spikes. Preferring solitary spaces to the proximity of its congeners, it particularly appreciates sunny and dry environments. Its stems move during the day to follow the movement of the sun, sometimes giving the impression of seeking the company of walkers.
