Natracare buffers have been developed to address health and environmental concerns directly related to dioxin pollution caused by chlorine bleaching, the widespread use of pesticides on conventionally grown cotton, and the use of rayon and other synthetic products in the buffers.

Natracare pads are made from 100% certified organic cotton and are the first fully certified organic cotton pads that are currently available in the world. They are not chlorine bleached and women can be assured that they do not contain synthetic materials, such as rayon or chemical additives such as binders or surfactants. Certified organic cotton eliminates the risk of direct exposure to residues from chemical pesticides and fertilizers traditionally used on cotton.

The smooth cardboard insert has a rounded, petal-shaped end that makes insertion easier and more comfortable. The applicator is made of biodegradable cardboard and contains no chlorine.
