Originally from North America, Hamamelis is a shrub very present in the forests of Quebec and the northeastern United States. It is particularly suitable for cold temperatures. Native Americans used decoction stems to heal swelling and inflammation. It was imported into Europe from the 18th century. The flaming water of Hamamelis (Hamamelis hydrolate) is known to promote cutaneous microcirculation. It is particularly suitable for sensitive and delicate skin. Its astringent, tonic and purifying action is also highly appreciated by combination and oily skin, because it tightens the pores and soothes the skin.
Apply on the skin after cleansing as a day or night cream as a toning lotion to soothe redness. For oily, mixed or acne-prone skin, diffuse it onto the skin. Do not rinse.
