The clove tree, found in Indonesia, is prolific and can grow up to 20 meters. Discovered by the Dutch in the Molucca Islands, aka The Spice Islands, the tree grows abundantly along the tropical sea coasts. Today, it is mostly grown in Madagascar. Its value recognized centuries ago, clove bud is used in traditional Indian and Chinese medicine.
Clove bud essential oil is used in aromatherapy for its analgesic properties to temporarily relieve toothache.
Topical (Adults): Mix 2 to 3 drops in 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) of vegetable oil. Apply to tooth with a cotton swab, 3 times a day.

May cause allergic reaction (e.g. skin rashes, irritation or dermatitis); in which case, discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner. Do not use on inflamed skin or dermatitis. This product is to be used temporarily, until a dentist can be consulted.
